The Peace Collaborative
When Kellie and Will began working on the Peace project there were two very distinct but interdependent goals. Primarily they both wanted to become superb counsellors that are able to help clients work with a diverse set of difficulties and issues. The second goal was to create a collaborative ethos that brought together therapists and professionals who would work to create an environment of clinical excellence. This, in turn, would allow Peace to help more people with a greater variety of issues and difficulties. It would also create a group of therapists who support each other in developing the client first approch
The initial stage of establishing the practice.
After the initial set up stage Kellie and Will both took on clients in their individual counselling rooms and online. Meeting regularly they were able to decide upon the direction of the company and to share supervision sessions regarding the work that they had undertaken. However, it became clear that there are very specific areas of need for some clients that would better be suited to specialist therapeutic interventions mentions and support systems. Staying true to their belief in putting the client first they agreed to bring into the collaborative some additional therapists who have different areas of specialism. This can be in person or online depending upon the needs of the client and the availability of the client. Each member of the collaborative is an individual practitioner who operates as a practicing therapist in some capacity. Currently Kellie and Will are working through the details with several therapists in order to provide the very best client centred therapy available. As the collaborative grows each practitioner will be given their own page on our site. This is the page to watch.
